What are three new things you have learnt about yourself and your ego due to the core learning?
Self-Awareness - Becoming aware of the extent of my poor time managment skills and being able to identity which areas need improvement and how to tackle them.
Ego Tendencies - Dealing with a lot a self doubt while working and building up the confidence to help overcome it.
Mindfullness - I have become more mindful of my own thoughts and feelings, which has helped manage my stress and increased my focus while working.
What are the role of values, empathy, and self-awareness in learning and programming?
Values provide a foundation for decision-making and prioritization.
Empathy helps to understand and connect with others.
Self-awareness allows for self-reflection and the ability to adapt to feedback and new information.
What has surprised you the most about the core learning?
The power of self-reflection for helping identify areas for growth and improvement.
What were the most challenging aspects of the core learning?
The emotional aspect of core learning, specifically during core write-ups, were quite demanding. Many of the core topics involved intense introspection and self-reflection, which were mentally exhausting for me at times.
Why do you think we, a programming school, are spending so much time focusing on core learning in a web development Bootcamp course??
Focusing on core learning in a web development bootcamp is important because it can help individuals develop strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills which can lead to more well-rounded developer.
Does the time you spent studying core learning here feel like a waste of time?
I do not consider the time spent on the core learning to be a waste of time, despite facing challenges during a lot of the core write ups. I realised how crucial these skills can be for ones personal development and growth.
